恭賀新禧

Happy Chinese New Year! Or, as they say in Beijing, Gōng Hè Xīn Xǐ! Today is the first day of the new lunar year 4704, a year of the dog. Today also marks the beginning of the 15-day long Spring festival (Chūnjíe). (In case you’re wondering, yes, those are our dear canine friends, Caffrey and Murphy, who reluctantly posed for this year’s New Year Card.)
