African Development Model with Chinese Characteristics?

In his opinion piece published recently in the International Herald Tribune, Wei-Wei Zhang argues that China’s, not America’s, development model holds greater promise for the world’s developing countries. Mr Zhang’s position is obviously biased, but he makes some interesting points and his bullet-list description of China’s development strategy includes some useful insights.
