Sunday Ride

July 9th, 2007

Took the 500 out yesterday for a nice Sunday ride with fellow Kawa riders Sean and Paul. Our route took us through several towns south of Columbus, including Orient (home of the Orient Correctional Reception Center), Commercial Point, South Bloomfield, Williamsport, New Holland, and Washington Court House. We stopped in WCH at the Mugs & Jugs Draft House for some refreshments and food. When we arrived we were greeted by sights that are probably typical of the rural neighborhood bar: Harley-Davidson signs, cases of Bud stacked to the ceiling, and Dale Earnhardt memorabilia, not to mention the roughly thirty pairs of eyeballs staring directly at us. We casually took a seat and ordered a round and tried to blend in. We were successful, and the hamburgers were tasty. Back on the road by 7:30 or so, and home by 8:00 (ish). Total distance was about 140 miles.
